Cabs can cost somewhere between $40 and $60 depending on the route. So you're saving as much as $30 each way (and even more if you go for a triple share!). Round trip, that's 24 Mamoun's falafel sandwiches. Or like 8 months of Netflix. Come on!

Why do I want to share a cab with a stranger?

Look at the stranger's twitter to make sure you are willing to put up with your cabmate's strangeness. Also, turns out that most new yorkers are friendly.

How to split the fare?

Follow the unwritten NYC cab sharing rules. Split fairly. Choose a neutral dropoff. Or don't. You guys'll figure it out. If someone's a real ass, let us know and we'll add them to the Cab Plz no share list.

What if my partner(s) doesn't show?
